Connecting Groups

Do you feel a need to connect with others sooner rather than later? How about discussing a very relevant topic that will also connect you to Christ? Connecting Groups will meet for 6-8 weeks. Come on in, the water's fine!

Five Things God Uses to Grow Your Faith - This six week group will explore Andy Stanley's DVD study. Discussion will center around these five things: Practical Teaching, Providential Relationships, Private Disciplines, Personal Ministry, and Pivotal Circumstances. The group will meet on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:00pm in the Living Room at GFC starting September 12. Childcare is available with a reservation and on a donation basis ($5/week/family).

Marriage Connecting Group - This six week group will help enrich your marriage and connect you with other married couples by doing a DVD study together by Chip Ingram, Marriage Built to Last. This group will meet on Sunday afternoons from 4:30-5:30pm in the Living Room at GFC starting September 10. Music Makers for kids grades K-5 meets at the same time as this group.

Starting Point

Whether you’re new to faith, curious about God, or coming back to church after some time away, this is a place where your opinions and beliefs are valued and no question is off limits. Starting Point is a 9-week conversational small group designed to help you connect the dots of the Bible and understand the common message that runs through it – that of grace. This is a great first group experience if you’re looking to explore more about Christianity in a non-threatening environment.

Our next Starting Point group will begin Sunday morning, September 10, from 11am-12pm in the Starting Point room at GFC.

Community Groups

Progress in being changed by Christ and used by Christ (the Ultimate Journey) calls for some intentional relationships with others who are headed in the same direction. If you're ready to engage such a journey, check out a Community Group. Groups meet regularly, often with people in a similar life stage, for a year or more in order to encourage each other to live out the truths of Christ found in the Scripture and to develop healthy, caring relationships.

Other Opportunities to Grow

In addition to our core groups, we offer additional group opportunities just for men and women or those facing a major life situation, such as new stage in life, a new phase in your marriage, or the need for healing or recovery. It is our goal to provide spiritual growth opportunities for all adults, no matter the season of life.
